Historical Background

Forest Hills Elementary School is the oldest continuously used building in Danville Public Schools. It was built in 1935 through Public Works Administration funding, which was a New Deal agency focused on large construction projects. The school's architecture is indicative of the time period, including the columns at the front entrance and hard wood flooring.

Mission

To develop independent learners who respect themselves and others as unique individuals while striving to reach their fullest academic potential.
